The Dodgers were absolutely stunned over the weekend, getting swept in the Freeway Series by a Los Angeles Angels team missing OF Mike Trout (knee). The Dodgers allowed at least 6 runs in each of the 3 losses, getting outscored 23-15 by an Angels team which ranks 20th in runs scored, 27th in batting average and 23rd in OPS.

Moneyline
The DIAMONDBACKS (+120) are worth a roll of the dice in this series opener. The Dodgers are reeling after inexplicably dropping 3 in a row to the lowly Angels, so why not Arizona? The Snakes played the Dodgers tough in the desert splitting a 4-game set.
While Pfaadt has tremendous splits at home and poor numbers on the road, Knack isn't exactly lighting it up, either. This should be a wild game, where the bullpens make the difference.
Run line/Against the spread
The DIAMONDBACKS +1.5 (-160) aren't priced out of line if you simply can't back them straight up. If you need a little insurance, back Arizona catching the run and a half. Hold onto your hat, though, as this one could be a high-scoring affair with plenty of lead changes and drama.
Over/Under
OVER 10 (-102) looks like a rather high number on the surface, but it's the best play.
The Dodgers allowed at least 6 runs to the Angels in all 3 losses over the weekend, and the Over has cashed in 5 of the past 6 games for the home side. The Over is 10-1 in the past 11 games played at Dodger Stadium, too.
For the Diamondbacks, the Over has a slight 3-2 edge in the past 5 games, but the Under did hit in 3 of 4 meetings with the Dodgers earlier, so be careful. Still, with Pfaadt against Knack, we should have plenty of fireworks.
